Interpretable Natural Language Processing (INLP) | AGI-26 Workshop

Join us live for the Interpretable Natural Language Processing (INLP) Workshop at AGI-26, taking place Monday, 27 July, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST at San Francisco State University.

Natural language is a fundamental component of general intelligence, yet today's AGI and NLP research remain largely separate. Few AGI architectures can genuinely understand natural language, while most NLP systems rely on specialized, language-specific methods. The INLP initiative explores interpretable approaches to language acquisition, comprehension, and generation, with the goal of advancing general conversational intelligence in future AGI systems.

The workshop features research on interpretable NLP, machine translation for under-resourced languages, hierarchical language reasoning, ontology creation with LLMs, emotion attribution in social graphs, and recognizing cognitive distortions in natural language.

Speakers

• Tatiana Shavrina (Institute of Linguistics, RAS) — Linguistic Grammar-based Scalable Machine Translation Approach for Underresourced Languages
• Sergey Shumsky (Symbolic Mind Inc.) — Deep Control: An Interpretable Architecture for Hierarchical Language and Structural Reasoning
• Pavel Salowski (Partenit.io) — Automatic Ontology Creation Using LLM
• Usman Gidago (Novosibirsk State University) — Interpretable Emotion Attribution in Social Graphs: A Comparative Analysis of Rule-based, Transformer, and LLM Models
• Anna Arinicheva — Interpretable Recognition of Cognitive Distortions in Natural Language Texts

SingularityNET was founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel with the mission of creating a decentralized, democratic, inclusive, and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). An AGI is not dependent on any central entity, is open to anyone, and is not restricted to the narrow goals of a single corporation or even a single country.

The SingularityNET team includes seasoned engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. Our core platform and AI teams are further complemented by specialized teams devoted to application areas such as finance, robotics, biomedical AI, media, arts, and entertainment.
