The Watchmaker, is an INTERPOL-produced awareness video highlighting the need for multi-agency cooperation to share knowledge and identify solutions to mitigate risks posed by weaponizable chemicals.
It is part of a broader set of activities entitled, Project Crimp, which provides a platform for multi-agency cooperation between law enforcement, government, academia and the chemical industry to share knowledge, experience and share best practice.
Project CRIMP is a tailored programme of sustainable, focused, chemical security countermeasures supported by industry partners through developing a risk matrix of the most significant chemicals of concern.
Communications Outreach
A critical element to the countermeasures programme includes a communications outreach component with the use of strategic media and communications tools contributing to a holistic approach that can bolster security throughout the lifecycle of chemicals and their precursors.
The intention is for the video to be used across a series of INTERPOL capacity building workshops and other counter terrorism prevention related activities.
