The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada set out on a mission to make sure everyone in Canada knows the history of the Indian residential school system. We met a group of international students at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ont., and asked them what they’ve learned about colonialism in Canada ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
