Shane Post is preparing for the IFBB North American championships where he will try to earn his professional status in the IFBB. The North American championships has competitors from Mexico, United States and Canada who are eligible to compete making it a truly international competition.

Regardless of changes with competitions and additions of new classes like classic physique and the wellness division, one thing that remains the same in that bodybuilding is still the most prestigious and therefore the toughest category to turn pro in.

Shane won the Mr. Pittsburgh title in 2017 and with added leg mass and more overall size, he is going to go for a class and overall win in bodybuilding and throwing his hat in the classic division as well. Shane along with his wife Irina Post will compete in the same competition but on different days. She will compete in the bikini division after narrowly missing a pro card after her class win at this year's Arnold Amateur.

Shane's workout:

"I like to keep all of my heavy presses towards the beginning of the workout when I am my strongest"

Flat dumbbell press: 2 warm up and 2 working sets 10-12 reps
Incline prime press: 2 warm ups and 2 working sets to failure
Cable flys: 4 sets x 15 reps
Superset prime fly machine with prime dip machine: 3 sets x 15 reps each
