Accepted social plans last week and now experiencing commitment regret? Want to just stay in your bed? I personally don't have an internal monologue in the auditory sense, however I do have an internal "visual" or what is called “minds eye". I see how things could play out in a very vivid nature, kind of like watching a movie.
