In this video, we’ll be reading a folk tale called Morozko from my intermediate reader. Морозко means Father Frost and the name comes from the word "мороз" which means "frost". Reading Russian folk tales is very difficult for Russian learners because of the outdated words and grammar. But don't worry, this reader is not going to be too difficult because it has been adapted to modern Russian. You'll be able to read and understand the story if your level of Russian is at least pre-intermediate. I´ll be reading it in slow Russian and this is a great chance for you to practice your Russian listening skills because adapted texts and slow audio is always a winning combination when it comes to learning Russian.
