The pressure can collapse lungs, testicles, eye balls, and ear drums - it can kill instantly.

The pressure can detonate pressure activated armament like mines.

The sound of an explosion is the pressure dissipating when atmosphere returns to normal much like the clapping of hands.

In the real McCoy, the battlefield, you don't hear what kills you as sound travels slower than the ordinance.

If you survive, are not killed, you will hear the explosion seconds after explosion's pressure passes by which means the atmosphere has filled the explosion's void.

Sometimes, before the sound, a secondary pressure wave is felt. This is the air that was exploded outward returning the opposite direction rather quickly to its origin ... and then ...BOOOOOOOMM

The DEQ action comes amid rising reports of illegally disposed Bakken oilfield waste, namely filter socks, used to trap naturally occurring radioactive silt driven above ground during hydraulic fracturing. Garbage bags full of the filters have been discovered abandoned in a shuttered North Dakota gas station and on a flatbed trailer near a landfill in that state. North Dakota doesn’t have a facility that handles radioactive waste. In Montana, where the tolerance for radioactive waste is higher, four waste handlers have applied for permits, including one landfill near Glendive that’s already operational.
