It is fast in gaming, extremely strong in productivity, efficient, and versatile enough to make the Core Ultra 9 285K hard to recommend for most people.
If you only care about maximum competitive gaming FPS, X3D CPUs still make sense. But if you want to game, stream, edit, work and build one PC that does everything well, the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is very hard to beat.
