Mice are very territorial little creatures and integrating new mice into a colony can be tricky. Apollo was being badly bullied by his cage mates so I decided to try him with another group. When first doing introductions, you need to do it in an area that is completely free of odors and objects that may make them protective over their space. It needs to be done on neutral territory and preferably a small space. At first this space needs to be very boring with nothing for anyone to fight over and then, as they get along better, you can add more stuff. Apollo's introduction to Ella's troup went very smoothly. Soon they will be able to go back to Ella's troup's large cage. Apollo is so much happier now to live in a more friendly group :)
