In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, a United Space Alliance
external tank technician removes layers of BX265 foam insulation from a liquid oxygen feedline
bracket. After X-rays revealed cracks in the underlying super-lightweight ablator, or SLA, cork
insulation, managers decided to remove it from four of the five brackets. Both foam and SLA will
both be completely removed, and then only the foam insulation will be applied. (NASA TV)
