I know you probably don't want to have to re-do all your hard work of installing Crouton onto your Chromebook but this time I have a couple new commands on listing and choosing a specific release and desktop environment.
To start Linux from a fresh boot type:
Key combination: Ctrl+Alt+T
Commands:
shell
sudo startXXXX
where XXXX is the distribution you installed
If you want to start all over like I did, you do not need a recovery drive or some crazy linux skills to format the drive. All you have to do is press spacebar at the OS Verification screen on startup and then press Enter to confirm. Just remember to back any locally stored files because turning on OS verification will wipe out all your data and settings. The same goes for turning off OS verification and entering developer mode. SO BACK IT UP!!!
