In this video, we install our dual drawer storage system into a brand new 6th Gen 4Runner (non-hybrid) belonging to one of our creators, Evan. This walkthrough pairs with the installation manual you'll receive by email when you purchase from our website, complete with scannable codes linking back to this video and our parts/hardware guide.
What we cover:
✔️ Removing the factory subfloor for extra storage depth
✔️ Placing leveling pucks and VHB tape for a flush, solid base
✔️ Installing flanged washers and mounting hardware
✔️ Attaching turnbuckles to the stock D-ring locations
✔️ Sliding in and locking the drawer boxes
✔️ Installing the tops, bed cleats, and bed extension
✔️ Adding the Molly panel bag mounts and accessory slots
✔️ Fitting cubby fronts, side cubbies, and top covers
✔️ Building out the three-part bed system
✔️ Finishing touches: dividers, false tops, and our new badge
Tools needed: just a flathead screwdriver and a 10mm socket (drill motor recommended for speed).
This kit also supports add-ons like extra dividers, separators, and false tops (including our heat-dispersing metal false top for cooking setups) — all available at solidwoodworks.com.
