In this video, we install our drawer storage system into a 3rd Gen 4Runner belonging to one of our customers, Michael, who upgraded to the premium package. This walkthrough pairs with the installation manual you'll receive by email when you purchase from our website.
What we cover:
✔️ Removing stock D-rings and prepping the cargo area
✔️ Setting the drawer system in place
✔️ Installing the rear L brackets to the factory mounting points
✔️ Attaching turnbuckles front and back for a tight, no rattle fit
✔️ Building and installing the cubby fronts and tops
✔️ Assembling the bed extension and center support
✔️ Fitting the bed platform over the system
✔️ Adding dividers and separators for custom drawer configurations
✔️ Installing bamboo and metal false tops
Tools needed: a drill motor with a Phillips head, a 10mm socket, and a 4mm Allen key (most hardware comes in your pre cut kit).
This kit also supports add-ons like the bed extension, dividers, separators, and false tops (including our metal false top, great for cooking setups without damage to the wood) — all available at solidwoodworks.com.
