I have always been a big fan of Insta360's X series of 360 cameras, because it allows me to film 8K 360 videos that capture myself and my entire surroundings. Previously, I used the Insta360 X cameras mostly for fun style social media posts, but with the X6, image quality has improved that I can use it to film work footage. In fact, several of my B-rolls in my last few videos were snapped with the Insta360 X6.
The camera offers two custom-built Sony sensors measuring 1/1.1-inch. That's nearly 1-inch in size, and paired with three AI chips, allow Insta360 X6 to drastically improve image quality in low light. I can also crop into a single-lens video to get footage that looks closer to a normal camera's view. There's also a new InstaFrame mode that allows the camera to track me and reframe the video accordingly.
