🌟 The Florida Aquarium and MOSI have teamed up with Hillsborough County Public Schools and ZooTampa for the Mission: Tampa Bay all-girls summer camp, inspiring young girls to pursue STEM careers!🔬
During the camp, the girls design and build underwater ROVs, learn about manatee care at ZooTampa, and test their creations at The Florida Aquarium's Coral Reef habitat. This test allows them to make modifications before deploying their ROVs in Hillsborough Bay from our Bay Spirit II catamaran.
"One of the most exciting aspects of our camp is seeing kids engage in real hands-on science," says Debbi Stone, Senior VP of Engagement and Learning. "Our community benefits greatly when girls of all backgrounds have opportunities to learn about STEM."
