I decided to start a new series on my YouTube channel and blog this year called Inspired by. I'm hoping to have a new video and blog post the 7th of every month focusing on a specific content creator and how I was inspired by a project they shared. For my January post I was inspired by Mindy Eggen Designs. I was particularly inspired by a video she did with a Hero Arts card kit. One of the cards in the video had a beautifully ink blended background and the images were silhouetted over the background. She did some white heat embossing on black for her sentiment. One thing I really like about her channel is she has a range of styles and techniques and is really fun to watch. Her videos and channel are encouraging and empowering and I feel like when I watch her I'm empowered to do what she did because she made it easy to understand and explained her process thoroughly. Confused about why I named it all Delaney Jane Cards if my name is Renee’?

This entire thing, shop, YouTube channel, blog, etc, it is all named after our angel daughter who passed away in 2013. I made her some promises when she passed away. I would spread joy, I would make her proud and I would speak her name daily. This is one way we choose to honor her memory, and help me keep my promises.
