iKVA (ikva.ai/) is a spin-out from this Department that uses artificial intelligence to quickly discover internal and external knowledge for employees in large companies. It was founded in 2017 by three of our academics - Dr Liang Wang, Prof Richard Mortier and Prof Jon Crowcroft. The iKVA technology was developed with input from the BBC and the Home Office and is now used by customers including global engineering giant Mott MacDonald and Cambridge University Library. This film was made by our colleagues at Cambridge Enterprise who helped support iKVA, including through two funding rounds, on the company's journey from business plan to commercial reality.
