Vestas' presence in India dates back to 1997. In 2007, the Vestas Technology Centre Chennai was established. Since then, our presence in the city has grown into a powerhouse, home to more than 2,000 employees making it a strategic location for Vestas. We are proud to have colleagues who have been with us since the beginning, contributing to our legacy of innovation.
Our Chennai Technology Centre is a beacon of knowledge and expertise, fully integrating all design and engineering disciplines. Additionally, it’s home to several of our Global Centres of Excellence such as Siting, Grid Interconnection, and the Remote Operations Centre. We also have specialised test facilities, making it a hub for unique capabilities within Vestas.
