Juandi of VALO2ASIA and @RavishingRavish sat down with Toby, Head of Content Service at TJ Sports, to go behind the scenes of VCT CN and understand what it takes to produce some of the biggest VALORANT events in the world.
(For context TJ Sports is a joint venture by Tencent and Riot Games to operate esports such as League of Legends and VALORANT in China)
From teams of over 1,000 people working behind a single VCT CN stop to roadshows across China, sold-out arenas, fan experiences, and the thinking behind its stage production, Toby takes us inside how the region approaches VALORANT esports.
We also look ahead to Champions Shanghai 2026, where the goal is to turn the entire city into a “VALORANT Festival” this October, with what Toby says could be “probably the best opening ceremony in the history of VALORANT.”
