We visited two forgotten Upstate New York factory towns, Gloversville and Amsterdam — from 1890 to 1950, Gloversville made 90% of all gloves sold in the US, while Amsterdam was known for rugs and textiles. We wanted to see how these towns are getting by today, what's replaced the industry, and why people still choose to live there.
