(KUTV) A Salt Lake County farmer has a crop that's producing more than just fruit and vegetables. It's popcorn!
Popcorn comes from a certain type of sweet corn. That corn is grown at Petersen Family Farm in Riverton.
"People think I'm some kind of magician because I can turn sweet corn into popcorn," said farmer Luke Petersen. "But actually it's only a variety of corn."
You can stick the ear of corn into a brown paper bag and pop it in the microwave.
