KUTV) A Utah woman is following in her mother's footsteps by becoming a police officer.
Alexa Baty, 22, just joined the West Valley City Police Department.
"I wanted to do a job that was making a difference," she said.
And although Baty has several reasons why she chose to go into law enforcement, one of her main motivations is her mother, Jackie Potter, a detective with the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office.
