Nearly 400 jewels, tiaras, timepieces and precious objects — the CARTIER exhibition at NGV International in Melbourne is the largest survey of the global jewelry house ever staged in Australia, and the most ambitious yet.
Adapted and expanded from the Victoria & Albert Museum's London presentation, the show brings together pieces owned by Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, the Duchess of Windsor, and María Félix, alongside rare archival material from the Cartier Archives in Paris, London, and New York. The exhibition environment was designed by Studio Sabine Marcelis and CLOUD, both based in Rotterdam, taking color, light, and materiality as their spatial brief.
