Originally inspired by early planetary fighters, the Bird-of-Prey design dates back to before Klingon spaceflight. Over the centuries, it has evolved—from impulse to warp-capable engines—while retaining its core structure. For the Klingons, the design is perfect, and there’s been little reason to change it.
By the late 2370s, this legendary vessel existed in multiple variants, ranging from small scouts to massive K’vort-class battlecruisers. The most recognized is the B’rel-class, a 139-meter-long warship equipped with warp drive, cloaking technology, and heavy weapons—manned by a crew of 36.
To many Klingons, the Bird-of-Prey is more than a ship—it’s the ultimate warrior’s vessel: swift, resilient, and ready for battle.
