The Arctic Explorer Room continues the adventures of Sir Algenon, the famous explorer closely associated with the story and history of the Alton Towers Hotel. The room is themed around a Mountain Expedition Adventure, placing guests inside an Arctic snow crawler surrounded by views across frozen mountain peaks and deep ice canyons. Flying vessels and balloons can be seen navigating the dangerous mountain paths as explorers continue their search for the mysterious Yeti, extending the adventurous storytelling found throughout the hotel.
Designed to sleep up to four guests, the Arctic Explorer Room features a double bed, day bed, and single pull-out bed. The room also includes air conditioning, a Smart TV, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, free WiFi, and access to free parking.

Located inside the Gardaland Adventure Hotel, the Tutankhamon Restaurant offers a fully themed dining experience inspired by Ancient Egypt. Guests enter through a grand temple-style entrance into a large dining hall filled with detailed columns, statues and wall carvings that bring the story of the Pharaoh to life. The immersive design makes this one of the most unique themed restaurants at Gardaland Resort, combining detailed theming with a full à la carte dining experience.
The restaurant serves a wide selection of dishes including wood-fired pizzas, traditional Italian cuisine and a variety of vegetarian options. Guests can also choose from local and national wines, along with craft beer selections. Tutankhamon Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with reservations required for lunch and evening dining. TeAwa The Fearless River is far from a traditional lazy river. This intense, fast-moving attraction propels riders through a roaring torrent of water surrounded by tropical landscapes and volcanic rockwork. Every corner brings new surges of whitewater, creating an adrenaline-filled experience that feels more like rafting than floating. Riders must wear life vests, meet the 42-inch height requirement, and prepare for an unforgettable aquatic adventure. Following the PlanIt Park kids, we capture the excitement of tackling this wild river together, surrounded by the sounds of rushing water and the sight of Krakatau towering overhead.
Located near Hammerhead Beach within Rainforest Village, TeAwa offers strong currents, unpredictable waves, and the thrilling sensation of being pulled along by nature itself. Guests race past waterfalls, bridges, and hidden caverns beneath sections of the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, making this one of the most visually immersive attractions at Universal Volcano Bay. Unlike the peaceful Kopiko Wai Winding River elsewhere in the park, TeAwa is a full-speed experience designed to get your heart racing.
Opening with Volcano Bay on May 25, 2017, TeAwa The Fearless River quickly became a fan favourite. It sits within the Rainforest Village, home to some of the park’s most thrilling rides like Maku, Puihi, and Taniwha Tubes. Volcano Bay itself was built as the successor to Universal’s classic Wet ‘n Wild water park, combining world-class water attractions with rich storytelling inspired by the Polynesian legend of the Waturi people. [4K] The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure at Chessington, join us on a magical journey through the deep dark wood as we follow Mouse on a riverboat adventure in the Wild Woods area at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure is a family dark water ride that brings to life the much loved world of The Gruffalo. Located next to the iconic Vampire roller coaster in the Wild Woods area, this gentle river attraction invites guests of all ages to step into the pages of the classic story as boats drift through scenes inspired by the deep dark wood.
Opening in 2017, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure replaced the legendary Bubbleworks attraction which operated at Chessington for many years. The ride was developed by Merlin Magic Making for Merlin Entertainments and uses digital projection, lighting effects and scent effects to recreate the woodland world of Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and the Gruffalo.
The attraction is based on The Gruffalo, the hugely popular 1999 picture book written by English author Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The story has become one of the best known modern childrens books and has sold millions of copies around the world. The ride also draws inspiration from the 2009 animated television film adaptation of The Gruffalo which brought the characters and story to life on screen.
There are no height restrictions for this attraction, although guests under 1.1m must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over, with a maximum of five guests per boat. The ride ends with a small drop and on ride photo before guests exit through the Gruffalo Gift Shop which is shared with the Vampire roller coaster. The shop features Gruffalo themed toys, books, clothing and souvenirs along with merchandise for the Vampire coaster.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is one of the leading family theme park destinations in the UK, combining rides, a zoo, SEA LIFE aquarium and themed hotels. The park features more than 40 rides and attractions across themed areas including Adventure Point, Wild Woods, Forbidden Kingdom, Shipwreck Coast, Land of the Dragons, Land of the Tiger and the World of Jumanji which opened in 2023 and features the Mandrill Mayhem roller coaster.
Looking ahead to 2026, Chessington is preparing to open a brand new themed land based on paw Patrol. World of Paw Patrol is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 on the site of the former Mexicana and children’s zoo area. The new land will feature attractions including Adventure Bay Rescue Coaster, Marshall’s Fire Engine Rally and Skye’s High Flyer along with themed play areas and character experiences based on the popular PAW Patrol series.
Another future development planned for Chessington is the transformation of the former Wild Asia area into a new immersive land themed to Minecraft known as Minecraft World.

[4K] Dinosaur Tour Co. at Paultons Park, join us for a full prehistoric safari adventure through Lost Kingdom as we journey past animatronic dinosaurs, ancient landscapes and Jurassic encounters on one of Paultons Park’s exciting family attractions.
Dinosaur Tour Co. is a family safari style track ride located in the Lost Kingdom area of Paultons Park. Manufactured by Metallbau Emmeln, this immersive dinosaur expedition opened on 17th May 2016 as part of the £9 million Lost Kingdom expansion and continues to provide guests with a themed prehistoric adventure through one of the UK’s most detailed dinosaur lands.
Guests board expedition vehicles and travel through dense jungle landscapes, dinosaur nesting grounds, waterfalls, cave systems and animatronic prehistoric encounters. Dinosaur Tour Co. combines family friendly adventure with immersive theming, making it a popular attraction for guests exploring Lost Kingdom.
There are no formal height restrictions for Dinosaur Tour Co., although children under 4 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Flash photography is included during the cave section, allowing riders to purchase on ride photos.
Lost Kingdom opened in 2016 and transformed four acres of Paultons Park into a dinosaur themed world. Attractions in the area include Velociraptor, Flight of the Pterosaur, Dino Chase, Boulder Dash, Splash Lagoon, Alive dinosaur meet and greet and The Little Explorers play area. Splash Lagoon, which opened in 2024, further expanded the area and remains an important part of Lost Kingdom’s growing attraction lineup.
Paultons Park is preparing to open its newest major expansion, Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, on 16th May 2026. The Viking themed land is currently under construction and is being built on the former site of the Go Karts, Dragon Roundabout and Magma.
Valgard: Realm of the Vikings will introduce three major attractions including Drakon, the park’s first ever inverting roller coaster built by Gerstlauer, Raven, a family coaster, formally known as Cobra, and Vild Swing, the UK’s first ART Engineering Wild Swing. The land will also include a Viking themed playground known as The Orchard and a Nordic dining hall called the Feasting Hall
Beyond Valgard Realm of the Vikings, Paultons Park continues to expand with its first on site hotel and lodges planned and a major new water ride due to open in 2027 following its announcement at the Paultons Park Super Fan event. These developments reinforce Paultons Park’s position as one of the leading family theme parks in the UK.
