Reaching parts of Iran usually inaccessible to foreign journalists, BBC Eye builds a rare picture of a nation at war. A grieving mother in Minab, where a school hit in the opening hours of the conflict became one of its defining tragedies; mourners at the funeral of Iran's Supreme Leader, defiant in the face of foreign pressure; and the young Iranians facing an uncertain future, guarded about what they feel they can and can't say about the regime, or about their own lives.
The BBC's Senior international correspondent Nawal Al Maghafi was reporting from Iran on condition that none of her material is used on the BBC's Persian Service. These restrictions apply to all international media organisations operating in Iran.
