From training to workforce, a new career path is taking shape in Wilmington.
In its first year, more than 80 apprentices have completed GE Aerospace’s newest apprenticeship program in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Through training at Cape Fear Community College and hands-on experience at the GE Aerospace Wilmington site, apprentices from different backgrounds are stepping into careers as CNC machinists — helping deliver critical engine parts our customers count on. For those with prior machining experience, full-time training takes place at the Wilmington site.
