Messianic congregations in Israel, finding a permanent place to gather is a constant challenge. Because of prejudice toward believers, many landlords are unwilling to rent to Messianic communities. As a result, believers, already a minority within a minority, often struggle to find a long term home where they can worship and build community.
For the first five years of Beit Asaph, the congregation gathered in homes, parks, and gardens. While they were grateful for every place they could meet, they longed for a permanent home where they could gather regularly and continue growing together.
That dream became a two year journey of faith. Step by step, the Lord provided. Just two days before the final payment deadline, every installment had been paid in full. What seemed impossible became a miracle.
Today, Beit Asaph believes this story is about more than one congregation. They believe the Lord is opening a new chapter for the body of Messiah in Israel, one where congregations can establish permanent homes, mature, and flourish. Not for their own glory, but for the Lord, for His purposes, and for such a time as this.
