Everyone loves earwigs right? Actually they are a great model for learning basic insect anatomy even though they lack the charisma and appeal of Dragonflies and Butterflies. In this series I'm sculpting the lowly earwig from photographic reference and illustrations. The final result will be used in a lecture on insect mouth parts. In this episode I will focus on the abdomen.
