GROW UP MAN! | INSANELY BIZARRE (yet easy) HOUSEPLANT! Begonia longiciliata (syn. sizemoreae) @Grow_Up_Man55 | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 10 minutes ago.
Today we take a real close look at the amazing Begonia longiciliata (syn. sizemoreae), a fairly recent discovery in plant terms. We discuss its care as well as its surprising tolerance for a variety of situations. We also look really closely at those leaves and hairs, on both the underside and top of the leaves, and why they have so many. This Begonia is only recently discovered, but is already a favourite with hybridisers, who've created some amazing cultivars. The leaves are huge, very textured and coloured with those amazing long hairs - referred to in the name. If you're looking for a talking point that copes well in a greenhouse or as a Houseplant, then Begonia longiciliata (syn. sizemoreae) might just be the Begonia you're looking for.
