Dr Jean Giacomotto (NHMRC Emerging Leader) is working at understanding and finding treatments against brain diseases. In this seminar, he explains his focus on degenerative diseases to demonstrate the value of an innovative research strategy, named chemical genetics. This approach has the advantage of understanding the disease, while finding beneficial compounds that could be translated into drugs for patients.
