This film tells the story of Maurice, a young Christian man who is dissatisfied in a relationship with his girlfriend. He seems to be going through emotional turmoil after the death of a close friend. Maurice's girlfriend tries to help him and the truth behind his pain is then revealed.

This film is influenced by current topical issues in the Church in Scotland involving the interpretation of God's word on a particular issue.
