This is not an April Fool's joke! I hope you don't mind an early present!
When was the last time I gave you a proper birthday present? It feels like it's been years which is probably true xD I feel like the last one was Play with Fire, but that was a few months before your birthday! I told you I was making a KFP tribute after being really disappointed with the 4th movie and here it is!!
I don't want to rant on Cookiez' birthday, so I'll just say this: I did not enjoy the 4th movie as much as the other three. There is a LOT I want to say, but again...this is not a time to rant! I purposefully didn't add anything from 4 for a reason lol. The 2nd is still my MOST favorite! I don't think anything else that comes out of this franchise will ever top it!
These movies are very special to me and I know they hold a special place for you too! Even better, this song is going to be sung live with the video in the background by @HeyBenSchuller from @NerdOut at Momocon this year in May! I'm not sure how many of you remember my "Home" animash that was sung live by Caleb Hyles a few years back, but that concert hasn't been done since Covid and is just now making a return! So exciting!! Note: there are voiceovers from the movies in this version but they WON'T be in the live version!
This song is so BEAUTIFUL and was inspired by Avengers: Infinity War. Po, Shifu and the Furious Five are kind of like the Avengers to me, so it made sense to use KFP. I wanted to try and fit in as many characters as possible, even the villains (especially Shen ;) If only Tai Lung truly got his redemption arc like we were hoping for, that would have been so perfect for this vid. That's all I'll say for now rofl!
