CBS 8 San Diego | Inland temps remain warmer than normal this weekend; notable cooling expected middle of next week @cbs8sandiego | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 6 days ago.
Friday will be the cooler day of this heat wave but still 12 to 18 degrees above average for inland areas. The coast saw a return of morning fog. This will help keep the beaches cool with afternoon highs in the 70's.
High pressure is taking a strong hold over the Western U.S. so temperatures will get even hotter on Sunday and Monday. That ridge will eventually weaken, allowing for cooling by the mid to end of next week.
