Injustice: Gods Among Us is a 2013 fighting video game. It is the first installment in the Injustice franchise based upon the fictional universe of DC Comics. The game was developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. It was released in April 2013 in North America, Europe, and Australia, and June 2013 in Japan. An expanded version of the game, titled Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition, was released in November 2013 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Windows, and Xbox 360. A free-to-play mobile app based on Injustice was also released for iOS and Android devices, which was then ported to arcade machines by Raw Thrills in the fall of 2017, months after the sequel's release. A prequel comic book series of the same name, written by Tom Taylor, was released beginning in January 2013.

➤ ABOUT THE GAME
FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft is tasked to investigate the mysterious deaths of Raccoon City survivors due to some form of late onset T-Virus infection. Her superiors assign her to inspect the site of the latest death in the long abandoned Wrenwood Hotel, where her mother Alyssa was killed eight years prior. Upon arriving at the hotel, Grace comes across evidence that somebody had been stalking her for years. She recovers a data disk left behind by her mother prior to her death, before she is attacked and abducted by ex-Umbrella scientist Victor Gideon. Meanwhile, DSO agents Leon Kennedy and Sherry Birkin are also investigating the string of deaths, as they too are exhibiting symptoms. Leon is directed to investigate the Wrenwood Hotel, and arrives just in time to see Gideon kidnapping Grace. Gideon manages to escape by causing a small T-Virus outbreak as a distraction, but Sherry is able to track him to his clinic, the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center.

➤ ABOUT THE GAME
On September 28, 1998, 24 hours prior to the events of Resident Evil 2, former Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) member Jill Valentine attempts to escape from Raccoon City. Most of the population has been transformed into zombies by an outbreak of the T-virus, the gruesome biological weapon secretly developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella Corporation. After fighting through zombies and mutants on her way to the Raccoon City Police Department, Jill runs into fellow team member Brad Vickers, who is later killed by a new enemy. This creature, Nemesis-T Type, is a bio-organic weapon programmed to target the surviving S.T.A.R.S. members, who had knowledge of Umbrellas experiments. After she evades Nemesis, Jill encounters three surviving members of the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.): Carlos Oliveira, Mikhail Victor, and Nikolai Zinoviev. Nikolai explains to Jill that a rescue helicopter can be contacted if they manage to reach the citys Clock Tower to ring the bell.

In December 1998, three months after escaping from Raccoon City (seen in Resident Evil 2) prior to its eventual destruction (seen in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis),[11] Claire Redfield raids an Umbrella Corporation facility in Paris in search of her brother, Chris Redfield. Discovered by Umbrellas security forces and eventually captured, Claire is imprisoned on Rockfort Island, a prison complex owned by the corporation, situated in the Southern Ocean. She is knocked unconscious after arriving. Sometime after her imprisonment, Claire wakes up and finds herself released by the man who captured her, and discovers that an outbreak of the T-virus has occurred. In the resulting chaos, she finds herself teaming up with Steve Burnside, another inmate seeking to escape.
