England trained at Manchesterโs Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Monday afternoon, two days ahead of the first Test of a three-match series against Sri Lanka.
The home side will be without talismanic skipper Ben Stokes who was still present at training despite sustaining a hamstring injury during a Hundred fixture in August.
Ollie Pope will lead the side in Stokes' absence.
It is Englandโs second Test series of the summer following a 3-0 win over the West Indies in July.
