Hello everyone,
you are going to love this scarf! Actually you are going to love this stitch, period! This stitch can be applied to all kinds of projects.
The only thing to keep in mind is that you need to count your base chain in multiples of 4! Then add 2 more chains to whichever number you picked.

I made two different sizes, one for me and one for my daughter.
As a reference
The foundation chain for me had 2oo chains (plus 2)
The foundation chain for my daughter had 120 chains (plus 2)

These are the items I used:
Yarn 2 different ones (use as many or as few colors as you like) (SEE BELOW)
Med 4 and light 3 weight
Hook: I downsized from the recommended sizes to a 3.5mm/E
Scissors
Measuring Tape (optional)
Yarn needle
Patience
