Inductance or Resistance.
Checking the specification of DC brushless motors.
Comparing motors of the same winding, to see if they give the same measurement.
Inductance varies greatly depending on rotor magnet , design and age. A guide inductance can only be used.
Resistance can be compared to a known specification, and motors of different make and age show repeatable constant results.
