In October 2025, The Henry Ford hosted our first Indigenous Artist in Residence in the Greenfield Village Weaving Shop. Textile artist Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe), owner of Makwa Studio, visited from Minnesota and crafted a one-of-a-kind piece using nontraditional materials.
