Screaming Trees is considered to be one of the godfathers of Grunge. Although they were one of the best Seattle-bands of the early nineties, they never achieved the commercial success of bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. Founded in 1985, the band had to wait till 1992 for their biggest commercial success, the release of Sweet Oblivion. Dust is their seventh and final album originally released in 1996, produced by George Drakoulias. In contrast to the groups previous recordings that were more influenced by psychedelic rock and punk, Dust is equally influenced by folk and blues, while still retaining a harder-edged sound. After this album The Screaming Trees disbanded. Lead singer Mark Lanegan started a very successful solo career, working with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Greg Dulli (Afghan Wigs), Isobel Campbell (Belle & Sebastian) and UNKLE.

Grace is the only studio album by the American singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley, released in 1994 in the United States by Columbia Records. It was produced by Buckley and Andy Wallace. After moving from Los Angeles to New York City in 1991, Buckley amassed a following through his performances at Sin-é, a cafe in the East Village. He recorded Grace in Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York, with musicians including Gary Lucas, Mick Grondahl, Michael Tighe and Matt Johnson. It includes versions of the jazz standard Lilac Wine, the hymn Corpus Christi Carol and the 1984 Leonard Cohen song Hallelujah. The legacy edition consists of disc 1 - the original album, disc 2 - un-released songs from the grace sessions and tour, and disc 3, the music vids. Support the artists buying the record.")
