Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day Uzbekistan visit delivered major outcomes, including the elevation of India-Uzbekistan ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, a $5 billion bilateral trade target by 2030, and a long-term uranium supply agreement. The two countries also signed 11 agreements covering critical minerals, mining, higher education, traditional medicine, tourism, environmental protection, digital infrastructure, AI, space and more. The rollout of UPI payments in Uzbekistan, scholarships and support for restoration of ancient Buddhist sites further strengthened the partnership.
