Sindhushree G has etched her name into Indian athletics history by clearing 4.25m to set a new Women's Pole Vault National Record at the Interstate Athletics Championships 2026.
The Karnataka athlete not only shattered the previous national record but also secured qualification for the Asian Games 2026. Her remarkable jump is now the 5th-best mark in Asia this season, while improving her personal best from 4.00m to 4.25m.
Adding to the emotional moment, Sindhushree dedicated her historic achievement to her late father, saying:
