During the 2018 IAAPA Attractions Expo, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr Pradeep Sharma, current President of the Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) about how the amusement industry is growing and improving in India. IAAPI is an apex body representing the interests of amusement parks, theme parks, water parks, and family entertainment centers (FECs) in India. The association is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization. Founded in 1999, IAAPI is India's premier business association having over 350 members (as of the time of this interview) from the private sectors including small and medium enterprises consisting of park operators and equipment manufacturers. IAAPI is also recognised and affiliated by various international trade bodies operating in the amusement industry.
