I review the first Indy novel by Max McCoy and the ninth in the Bantam series, PHILOSOPHER'S STONE. This is a fantastic bounce back from the awful previous two books in the series by Martin Caidin. This is also the first book to actually feel like an Indy film and features an appearance by Sallah. It may not be perfect but it was a godsend after the previous two slogs of books. And while it predates a certain young wizard it does feature...crystal skulls...in a 1995 book...
