This is to clarify that WHO has not associated the term “Indian Variant” with the B.1.617 variant of the coronavirus in its 32 page document.
The issue is calling it IndianVariant and that is what the Indian govt is objecting to. Variant B.1.167 is real according to the Indian government - whether it should be called Indian or not is a different matter - This term Indian variant is being used for propaganda purposes just like the scary China virus.
Famos is trying to sell the story that the Indian government is saying it doesn’t exist which is not what the Indian officials or W.H.O are selling.
