A big win for India's children!

On 29th July 2026, Maharashtra, and on 1st August 2026, Karnataka restricted the sale and advertising of HFSS (high fat, sugar and salt) foods within 50 metres of schools.

This didn't happen overnight.
It took policymakers, food safety authorities, educators and public health experts coming together to make it possible.

Thank you to Tukaram Mundhe, FDA Commissioner Maharashtra and Karnataka's Health Minister U.T. Khader ji
and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this happen.

For the last 8 years, we've had the privilege of taking the same message into schools across India.
Seeing this progress gives us immense hope.

We hope many more states take this step!
