In early July, many electric three-wheeler drivers in India were badly affected by a Chinese app. While carrying passengers, their vehicles could be remotely disabled, causing the batteries to shut down. The drivers would suddenly lose power and become stranded on the roadside. Passengers were then forced to get out and find other transportation. Related videos quickly went viral on social media.
