The 11th India Day Festival brought the colours, flavours and traditions of India to the heart of Moscow under the theme “Unity of Cultures, Friendship of Peoples.”
Held alongside India’s Independence Day celebrations, the festival featured performances by more than 700 artists, including Indian and Russian performers, showcasing traditional dances, music and chants.
Visitors also explored an Indian bazaar with around 120 stalls, featuring jewellery, fabrics, incense, clothing and Ayurvedic products. Yoga sessions, lectures and wellness activities added to the cultural experience, with around 75 yoga schools participating.
Food lovers enjoyed Indian sweets, flatbreads, rice and a wide variety of spices, while chefs conducted cookery master classes featuring traditional and vegan Indian dishes.
The festival also highlighted the diversity of India, from its many languages and regional traditions to its cuisine, arts and cultural practices.
The TV BRICS International Media Network served as the event's international media partner. The festival continues to strengthen cultural understanding and the longstanding friendship between India and Russia.
