India has approved defence procurements worth around ₹52,000 crore, giving a major boost to the operational capabilities of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The approvals include Akash Tarang, VSHORADS, MRSAM, MP-ATGM, HAMMER precision-guided munitions, Verba air defence systems, kamikaze drones, advanced artillery, and next-generation battlefield protection systems. Several acquisitions will be manufactured under the Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and IDDM categories, strengthening India's air defence, precision strike, surveillance, and indigenous defence ecosystem.
