The band name might give the impression that they were some kind of novelty act....and they were in the sense that the band consisted of two multi-instrumentalists (lead by the incredible Mickey Spiros) playing a laundry list of instruments, all of which were used in their live act. But the music itself transcends any kind of gimmick. As this song shows, Spiros was also a brilliant songwriter, arranger and producer....a true auteur with a unique vision that really deserves much more recognition than he gets.
